At the beginning of 2017 the renovation of the automation of the pre-analytical area of the Central Laboratory was completed.

The changes that were made in the preanalytical area of Catlab were; two RSD distributors were replaced by a P512 (dedicated exclusively to urine and connected to the analyzers) and a P612, which besides distributing and prioritizing, performs aliquots for external Laboratories.

The preanalytical module of the Biochemistry Core has also been changed, installing a Cobas 8100, which improves the performance of the old MPA module in speed and storage capacity.
